Water storage tanks come in various shapes, with the most common being horizontal and vertical tanks, which are easier to mold and construct. However, vertical tanks require considerable height, and horizontal tanks need ample surface area, along with sufficiently wide and tall access passages. When space and height are limited but there’s a need for a tank, a design that optimizes usage through narrow access and minimal area must be considered. To meet these requirements, cube tanks have been designed and constructed. These tanks, made of plastic such as polyethylene, come in single-layer (for light-deprived environments) and triple-layer (for sunlight exposure) types.
What is a Cube Water Tank?
This tank, known for its cubic and straightforward design, is recognized as a water tank. Its triple-layer variants prevent sunlight from reaching the tank interior with a dark layer in the middle, which prevents algae growth and sediment formation. Cube tanks can be installed in constrained spaces like under stairs, parking areas, or utility rooms where ample space isn’t available. A 1000-liter cube tank measures 162 cm in length, 62 cm in diameter, and 140 cm in height, making it evident that it requires minimal space. A 1000-liter cube tank can supply water to four residential units as needed. Its primary use is for drinking water and firefighting purposes. For drinking water applications, it should be made from food-grade polyethylene and comply with health standards.
Features of Cube Water Tanks
- Quick and easy installation
- Completely seamless
- Relatively low heat transfer
- Easy transportation
- Resistant to acids, alkalis, and corrosive substances
- Production date and volume markings on the product body
- Made from entirely sanitary materials (food grade)
- Triple-layer tanks are hygienic, featuring UV-resistant layers (anti-UV) and algae-resistant properties for drinking water maintenance.
Cube Tank Pricing
Due to its unique cubic design and the challenges in manufacturing, which involve ensuring its cubic corners are well-maintained, its price is impacted. Therefore, in environments where other tank types cannot be installed, cube tanks should be considered.
