An SMC tank is an excellent option for storing large volumes of water. The SMC tank is a modular tank made up of numerous panels, which is why it is also called a panel tank. The SMC tank panels are produced using the SMC process, which involves high-pressure and high-temperature molding. These panels are highly durable due to the presence of fibers with unsaturated polyester resins and related additives. The composite tank resins used in this tank are approved by the Food and Drug Administration. The modular water tank is one of the best options for storing drinking water. The SMC tank can be installed on-site. These modular tanks, also known as modular tanks, can be coated with a fire-resistant coating, significantly increasing their durability. These tanks contain multiple nanoparticles that enhance their mechanical and environmental properties, making them suitable for installation in both open and closed environments.

Prefabricated SMC Tank

The SMC tank produced by the company is one of the best composite tanks in the Middle East. The SMC tank consists of multiple components and can be used in hard-to-reach areas. Prefabricated SMC modular tank panels come in various sizes. These prefabricated modular tanks are of the highest quality and durability. The modular composite tank produced by Ista Polymer Sharif utilizes the latest technology in production and quality control. The modular cubic tank has panels of different sizes, made to meet customer needs and is transportable even in hard-to-reach areas. The company also produces SMC composite fire-fighting tanks with special coatings. These modular tanks can withstand temperatures up to 1000 degrees Celsius for up to three hours. Prefabricated SMC tanks, built with the latest composite industry technology for modular tank construction, are manufactured by Ista Polymer Sharif. The composite SMC tank panels come in various dimensions, and due to their modular nature, these prefabricated tanks can have their volume increased.

Features of SMC Tank

Among the features of these tanks is their anti-algae property. Since light cannot penetrate the panels, algae do not form on the walls of these modular tanks. Because light cannot pass through the prefabricated SMC tank panels, the chance of algae formation on the inner walls is eliminated. The prefabricated tanks have high resistance to heat transfer from outside to inside. Additionally, these modular tanks can be relocated from one place to another. SMC composite tanks can be produced in various dimensions and sizes. The useful life of an SMC composite tank is approximately 50 years.

Advantages of SMC Modular Tank

This prefabricated tank can be installed in various environmental conditions. It is easy to maintain and repair. These tanks can be designed according to customer needs and preferences. They also have the capability to increase volume. The prefabricated modular water tank has very easy maintenance and repair capabilities. The modular or prefabricated potable water tank by Ista Polymer Sharif can be designed and constructed based on customer needs. The prefabricated modular potable water tank has the capability of being relocated and expanded. This prefabricated modular SMC composite water tank can store and preserve water for a long period. Since these prefabricated SMC tanks are modular, they occupy little space during transportation. The SMC composite tank panels produced by the company are made using a hot press machine. The fiberglass modular tank varies in weight depending on the height and type of panel. The increasing use of composite modular tanks is due to the very high corrosion resistance of composite panels. GRP tanks are designed and produced according to the latest international standards. A standard GRP tank is produced considering the quality of composite raw materials and the SMC process. The prefabricated SMC (Sheet Molding Compound) tank panels undergo pressure testing at a temperature of 160 degrees Celsius after production. Depending on the type of GRP tank panel (bottom, wall, and roof), pressure testing is conducted at varying pressures. The SMC (GRP tanks) are made with different compositions depending on whether they are used for potable water storage or fire water storage. The prefabricated fire-resistant GRP modular tank is among the latest GRP tanks by Ista Polymer Sharif.

Advantages of Using Panel Tanks

  • Very fast installation
  • Ease of repairs
  • High quality of drinking water
  • No algae or sludge formation
  • Unlimited volume implementation
  • Easy cleaning

How to Order Composite Modular Tanks

Composite modular tanks are designed based on the space where the tank is placed and are installed on a frame and concrete foundation. Composite modular tanks can typically be designed and built up to a volume of ten thousand cubic meters. For volumes greater than one thousand cubic meters, the use of external reinforcements is recommended. Construction is done in several separate units. In enclosed spaces, maintaining a minimum clearance of 50 centimeters is mandatory. This space around the modular tank is crucial for performing complete maintenance and repair processes.

Maintenance of Modular Tanks

In general, in these tanks, the panels are connected to each other by numerous bolts and nuts, which must be periodically (every four months) checked, especially at points near the inlet and outlet locations. Additionally, any cracking in the tank panels, especially around the panels and at the drilled bolt and nut locations of the modular tank, should be inspected. If any leakage is observed in the composite modular tank, the installation team should be dispatched to the site as soon as possible.

Key Features of SMC Tank

Complete Sealing

Special fluids with international patent registrations are used to ensure watertight sealing.

Excellent Durability

The internal structural components of a water tank include a storage tank system (STS) and a base layer (STS PE) that prevent corrosion or rust. The external components are coated with molten plating, providing a semi-permanent lifespan.

Cleanliness

SMC water tanks meet food hygiene standards and FDA regulations. Since outside light is completely blocked, bacterial growth and microbial proliferation are prevented. Specifically, when large panels are used, the internal structures of the water tank are eliminated, allowing for long-term hygienic use of the water tanks.

Excellent Thermal Protection

Single panels are used for underground water tanks, while insulated panels, which are single panels with compressed insulating materials, provide excellent insulation for outdoor water tanks.

Easy Installation

Standard parts are used for on-site installation, making it easier to transport materials to restricted areas for convenient installation.

Rational Capacity Design

Various designs (U-shaped, L-shaped, square-shaped) are used to design tanks of all capacities and dimensions.
