Prefabricated metal tanks or modular metal tanks consist of square or rectangular panels produced using a stretching process. The metal sheets used in the manufacturing process are of high-tensile type, forming within a sembematrix mold. Depending on the type of fluid and the environment, the panels can have various coatings. The panel material can be hot-dip galvanized, galvanized with coating, or stainless steel, with no welding present in these galvanized tanks.

Advantages of Prefabricated Composite Metal Tanks:

  •  Corrosion resistance
  • Built to global standards
  • High quality
  • Dimensional flexibility
  • Easy installation
  • Burial underground

Installation of Prefabricated Composite Metal Tanks:

Panels are produced as small components and can be assembled in confined spaces. Another feature of these tanks is that they do not emit light, solving the problem of storing liquids outdoors and under sunlight without chemical damage.

Engineers at ABtank provide precise plans for installing your water tank based on its capacity. Customers only need to prepare the concrete foundation according to the plan. Purchased from ABtank, prefabricated composite metal tanks include all panels, accessories, channel bases, and some spare parts. The company also provides installation guidance for each project.

Technical Information for Galvanized/Composite Metal Tanks:

  •  Panels are produced using a hydraulic stretching process and a 1500-ton press machine.
  • Standard panel dimensions range from 100×100 cm to 25×25 cm.
  • Hot-dip galvanized coating thickness is 170 microns, and composite coating thickness is 150 microns.
  • Composite coatings are potable water contact approved (certified by Razavi Metallurgical Research Center).
  • Panels are connected to each other using coated screws and bolts (galvanized or dacromet).
  • EPDM elastomeric foam tape is used for joint sealing.
  • Polymer gratings with high mechanical resistance are used under tanks to prevent direct contact between the water tank and the structure surface.
  • No need for belt foundation (reduction in tank total costs).
  • Tank installation foundation must be completely level (installation stages).
